Smith Donovan Video was commissioned by the Blue Chip Casino to highlight its iconic presence on the Michigan City skyline. The building’s reflective windows capture the surrounding blue skies and lush greenery, all set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Michigan to the north.

Aerial filming is one of Thad Donovan’s greatest passions. The sweeping views from above—especially over the dunes—never fail to amaze and inspire. He’s most at home during golden hour, when long shadows and warm tones stretch across the landscape, inviting the camera to capture every moment.

Harley Ellis Devereaux commissioned this aerial video project to showcase their University of Iowa student housing development. Smith Donovan captured the construction phase and later returned to film the completed project, documenting the build from start to finish.
